These are simple things to do right after you have an automobile accident

1. Check to see if anyone is hurt. If so, dial 911 immediately

2. Do not try to move anyone injured. They may have injuries which will be made worse if you try to move them.

3. Call the police

4. Move your vehicle off the road and out of traffic.

5. Take photographs of all the cars and the scene of the wreck with your cell phone.

6. Get the other driver's name, address, telephone number, driver's license number, insurance company's name, telephone number and policy number. Make sure you get ALL of this information.  

7. Even if you feel o.k. at the scene get checked out by a doctor asap. Many times the adrenaline pumping through your bloodstream keeps you from feeling a lot of pain after the crash. You seem to be fine only to wake up the next day and feel like a train hit you.     

8.  Call your insurance company and report the crash.
